Shotaro Osaki, known simply as Shotaro, is a Japanese singer, dancer, former member of NCT (participated in the sub-unit NCT U) and current member of RIIZE (short for "Rise & Realize"). Before debuting, he was a student EXPG Studio in Japan and he sent his audition tape to SM Entertainment and was accepted, spending 6 months as a trainee. He made his debut in 2020 when he was introduced as a new member of NCT's sub-unit NCT U during a special broadcast on V Live. The sub-unit debuted in 2016 and is the only one without fixed members as they change depending on the song concept. He joined for the promotion of their 2nd full-length album "NCT Resonance Pt. 1" and remained with the group until the agency decided to make some changes. In May 2023, it was announced he will depart NCT and will join a new boy group SM Entertainment was planning to create. He re-debuted in September 2023, when he became part of RIIZE with their single album "Get a Guitar".
