Kwon Jung Yeol is a South Korean singer and the only current member of indie duo, 10CM. He graduated from Hyunil High School and later attended Yonsei University but dropped out of the Education program. When he was in middle school, he heard of a high school student called Yoon Cheol Jong who was part of a school band club called MAD PULSE. He brought a letter and a recorded tape of his work to Yoon with the intention of joining the band, but was rejected. It will take a bit longer, before he gained local fame and was allowed to join the band and became the vocalist as Yoon decided to switch to the guitarist position.

In 2004, both formed the band HAERYEONG in Daegu and they released their 1st album. They later renamed the band to SEVEN HILLS in honor of the unit they both served while on the military.

In late 2008, both arrived in Seoul and decided to enter the indie scene performing in live clubs in the Hongdae area. In 2010, they officially debuted as the duo 10CM with their 1st single, "Americano". The duo quickly became one of the most popular indie acts in South Korea and won the This Year's Discovery Award at the 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards and the Best Pop Song Award at the 2011 Korean Music Awards. The duo released three studio albums ("1.0", "2.0" and "3.0") with good reviews and sales. However, in 2017, just a few months before the release of "4.0", Yoon announced his departure from the duo as he was facing legal issues related to marijuana use so Kwon was left alone.

He continues to promote as 10CM and has released several singles and many OSTs for dramas such as "Crash Landing on You", "Hotel del Luna", "Our Blues", among others.
